Just came across your new website and wanted to write to say how pleased I am to have found it. Well done, and many thanks. As Chair of the Oxford International Brigade Memorial Committee, Rodney helped us with our fund raising and promotion.
He was unwell throughout that period of our campaign but turned up when he was able. Sadly he was too unwell to attend the unveiling of the memorial in June 2017. As a lifelong member of UNISON (and NALGO before that) I had more than one reason to admire Rodney. His memory is important and this website offers a fitting tribute.
