This website has been set up by colleagues, comrades and friends of Rodney Bickerstaffe to provide an accessible repository of his legacy as well as a pointer to other important and more detailed archives.
It is coordinated by Bill Gilby, who knew and worked with Rodney for many years, latterly as Director of Executive Office and Programmes in UNISON.
Jim Sutherland, former Director of Education at UNISON who helps manage Rodney’s considerable archive at the Modern Records Centre, Warwick University, has been of considerable assistance.
Contributors include Peter Morris who was Head of Research, NUPE, and Director of Policy & Research, UNISON.
